FullCircles Theme Song... Joni Mitchell's "CIRCLE GAME"
THE CIRCLE GAME - The FullCircles Theme Song

Joni Mitchell, Canadian folksinger from Saskatoon, wrote this classic in the '60's... I've always been a HUGE Joni Mitchell fan. We've adopted this beautiful song as the FullCircles theme song.

The Story of "Stuff"

From its extraction through sale, use and disposal, all the stuff in our lives affects communities at home and abroad, yet most of this is hidden from view. The Story of Stuff is a 20-minute, fast-paced, fact-filled look at the underside of our production and consumption patterns. The Story of Stuff exposes the connections between a huge number of environmental and social issues, and calls us together to create a more sustainable and just world. It'll teach you something, it'll make you laugh, and it just may change the way you look at all the stuff in your life forever.

About FullCirclesOttawa

An Ottawa Canada Freecycling Group

Our goals:

  • Reduce waste
  • Conserve resources
  • Move our community toward sustainability

In our throw-away, consumer society, Full Circles gives new life to idle, unwanted items... things that are frequently out of sight... hidden... cluttering closets, basements, garages... clogging our living spaces. Or things that end up at the curb and in landfills prematurely. Full Circles helps you move those useful things to people who want them and will actually use them.

The benefits are obvious and immediate... uncluttered, simplified households; reduced waste; reduced spending; conservation of energy and natural resources.

By activating idle items, FullCirclers optimize the use of surplus "stuff" already in our community's inventory, reduce the need for members to buy already available "stuff" with after tax $$, and reduce unnecessary use of natural resources and energy required to manufacture additional goods.

Give it away on FULL CIRCLES -- everything 100% Free!

March 3: Today is... Hinamatsuri - Japanese Doll Festival. We're encouraging FCO members to collaborate with their children to offer up no longer treasured dolls! If this "challenge" is successful we'll mark our calendars and make it an annual event.

Thanks
White microwave stand with drawer and cabinet. I don't have the shelves for the cabinet anymore but you could pick one or two up at a hardware store. In good condition, some wear.
Thanks
This was an excellent printer for more than 15 years, if you can believe it. Lightly used that whole time. Unfortunately, it failed to come on when I returned from vacation last week. Suspect the power supply has failed. If you need parts or cartridges, here's your chance. Also includes manuals, cables and additional 1Mb memory cards.
Hello Everyone, My daughter just had her second baby and as the first one is only 14-months old, she is looking for a double stroller. If you have one in good conditon that you are no longer using and wish to consider my request, I would be most happy to pick it up on her behalf. I can pick up in most of the greater Ottawa/Gatineau area. Thank you for your consideration. Susan

all pants taken thanks
Offered: Old kitchen cabinets. I expect these used to hang in our kitchen, probably over the stove or sink (note the space below the two left cabinets), but they were hanging on the wall in the basement when we moved in. Sturdy, but not particularly attractive. Ideal for a basement/garage/workshop.

Eric's Eclectic Book Shoppe
After listening to author, Malcolm Gladwell interviewed on CBC Radio1 by Anna Maria Tremonti this morning, I added his latest book, "What the Dog Saw & Other Adventures" to my little Eclectic Book Shoppe.

Lots of interesting "stuff" in the Book Shoppe.  Give it a look!
