The Best Things In Life Are Free
The Story of "Stuff"

From its extraction through sale, use and disposal, all the stuff in our lives affects communities at home and abroad, yet most of this is hidden from view.

The Story of Stuff is a 20-minute, fast-paced, fact-filled look at the underside of our production and consumption patterns. The Story of Stuff exposes the connections between a huge number of environmental and social issues, and calls us together to create a more sustainable and just world. It'll teach you something, it'll make you laugh, and it just may change the way you look at all the stuff in your life forever.

Ray Anderson's TED talk
Highly recommended. 15 minute talk on sustainable enterprise. Anderson is one of my personal modern heroes./egs

About FullCirclesOttawa

Ottawa Canada

Our goals:

  • Reduce waste
  • Conserve resources
  • Move our community toward sustainability

In our throw-away, consumer society, Full Circles gives new life to idle, unwanted items... things that are frequently out of sight... hidden... cluttering closets, basements, garages... clogging our living spaces. Or things that end up at the curb and in landfills prematurely. Full Circles helps you move those useful things to people who want them and will actually use them.

The benefits are obvious and immediate... uncluttered, simplified households; reduced waste; reduced spending; conservation of energy and natural resources.

By activating idle items, FullCirclers optimize the use of surplus "stuff" already in our community's inventory, reduce the need for members to buy already available "stuff" with after tax $$, and reduce unnecessary use of natural resources and energy required to manufacture additional goods.

Give it away on FULL CIRCLES -- everything 100% Free!

Need help moving that gift?

March 3: Today is... Hinamatsuri - Japanese Doll Festival. We're encouraging FCO members to collaborate with their children to offer up no longer treasured dolls! If this "challenge" is successful we'll mark our calendars and make it an annual event.
